Fantastic food, extremely fragrant and wonderful rice, chicken curry, and mango drink. The mango drink was absolutely delicious, creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet. The chicken was tender and the curry was so flavorful and delicious. Also, the best service I have ever experienced. The inside of the restaurant is modern and clean, yet has traditional accents. My favorite part is that the garlic naan, rice, and curry was not heavy, or oily, it tasted healthy and perfect! I will absolutely be back
Absolutely amazing ! The food is very high quality and flavorful. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Overall 10/10 one of my favorite Indian food spots.
We had a great dinner here! Love the Sag Paneer & Tikla Masala with Naan. Definitely would like to come back for the lunch buffet on the weekend. Great service too. Fast!
Criminally underrated. Best Indian north of the river (yes, much better than Clay Pit). I love their Tikka Masala and Dal Makhni. They recently renovated, and the space is much brighter and family friendly. Servers are nice and attentive. And last (but not least), very reasonably priced.
Decent food in a spacious restaurant. I wish the plaza itself was busier. We were there for Friday dinner and most of the orders were takeout. The music was way too loud in an almost empty restaurant. The garlic naan was on the thin side / thinner than I am used to. Butter chicken is not the most authentic but always delicious. Lamb biryani was a hit. Overall would recommend. Service was pleasant!
Excellent Indian Food. First time here after having this place recommended to me by a friend. Great menu, lots of really interesting options that I'm looking forward to trying next time. The service was great, the waitress was really sweet and knowledgeable. We had the Saag Paneer and Mughlai Curry, butter garlic naan, masala chai, and mango lassi. All hits. The naan was so fresh and pillowy.
I was between eating at New Sitara & another restaurant but what sold me was reviews saying that the PORTION SIZE was great here. This is a place you want to go with a group & do family style. I ate here solo & had so much leftovers. There were too many things I wanted to try & over-ordered. They had to bring in more tables to accommodate the guests dining in. The server did say that they are currently under renovations to RESTART the BUFFET in a few weeks. - SAMOSA CHAT: when this came out I was confused cause I didn't see the samosa but they cut samosa into pieces. It is a better method so it's easier to share & there was crunchiness throughout. Loaded with chickpeas & onions, this was a flavor explosion. - CHICKEN MAJESTIC: I saw too many reviews raving about this appetizer that I had to try it. Breaded chicken covered in a creamy tomatoey sauce. I can see how this is popular. Super savory & easily palatable - ROGN JOSH CHICKEN: Not one of their house specialties but my server recommended it as her favorite so I gave it a try. Well season, thick curry paired so well with rice & an order of CHILI NAAN. The naan came with 4 pieces & it was so fluffy. They provided BOTTLE WATER at no charge. I would love to come here again to try more things & also their buffet when it comes back.
With delicious flavors, nice portions, super friendly service, this place is a true hidden gem! It's quaint inside and a great place to meet up with friends for an amazing meal. Everything I had was phenomenal and flavor-packed.
Absolutely recommend! This place is both affordable and absolutely delicious. The staff is so friendly too and the restaurant has a a pleasant atmosphere. Recommend the garlic naan (at least two orders because one is definitely not enough!), chicken tikka masala, chicken majestic, and goat andhra masala!
New Sitara has delicious authentic Indian dishes with reasonable prices and extremely large portion sizes! SERVICE - Every worker I interacted with was very pleasant! We got seated right away, our order was taken efficiently, and our food arrived quickly. PRICING - The total was $59.46 after tax and before tip for chicken tikka tandoori ($15.99), malbar chicken curry ($14.99), boneless chicken biryani ($13.99), two orders of garlic naan ($2.99 each), and keema naan ($3.99). This was an INSANE amount of food for the cost so I'd say the pricing is very reasonable considering the large portion size. CHICKEN TIKKA TANDOORI (8.5/10) - Fantastic! It comes out still sizzling and you get a great amount of chicken for the price. The flavor was great and the chicken was tender... there was one piece that was chewy and had a weird texture and I wish there were some more veggies served with it but I'd order this again! MALBAR CHICKEN CURRY (8.5/10) - The flavor of this got better with every bite! It wasn't as sweet as you'd expect with a coconut sauce, but the spice level is perfect and it's extremely flavorful. I'd order this again! BONELESS CHICKEN BIRYANI (8/10) - This wasn't the most flavorful or life changing biryani I've ever had BUT it gets graded on a curve because the portion size is MASSIVE! The chicken was tender and had a great spice level. I'd order this again! GARLIC NAAN (9/10) - One bite and it's obvious why this is one of their most popular items! The garlic flavor is DELICIOUS! It was a little thinner and more crispy than some other naan I've had which was the only thing keeping it from being a perfect 10/10. I'd order this again! KEEMA NAAN (7/10) - The flavor of the keema was great but it was very greasy... I'm happy I tried it but I probably wouldn't order it again. I'd definitely come back to New Sitara and would recommend it to others... especially if you want a local, casual place for some great Indian cuisine! If you order a lot, plan to have leftovers because the portions are massive and you get your money's worth!
